Product Introduction

Rotawash Washing Fastness Tester is used for determining color fastness of textile materials to washings. This is attained by mechanically agitating a specimen of textile in contact with pieces of specified adjacent fabrics in soap – soda solution. Before being rinsing and dried. The change in color of specimen and stains of the adjacent fabrics are assessed with standard Grey Scale.

How do you measure wash fastness?

The sample is kept in 60⁰C for 30 minutes in Rota Wash Machine. Rinse the sample twice with cold water. Dry at 60⁰C by hanging or by Flat iron pression but temperature should not be more than 150⁰C. Dry the specimen and the change of shade & degree of staining is measured by Grey Scale & Staining Scale.
